Make It Happen

We all have hopes, dreams and goals that we want to achieve. We live our lives hoping and wishing that someday in the future these objectives will be accomplished. But instead of hoping we should be acting. Unfortunately, in our world, nothing is handed to you for free. You have to put in work to get some results. And the harder you work the better the results will be.

It was Jimmy Johnson who said, “the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary is the little extra.”

Talents and potential enable you to achieve great things – but for most of us, these fail because of laziness or lack of perseverance.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think that right now you are doing everything you can, and working as hard as you can, to achieve the goals you have set for yourself? Can you honestly say that in 5 years, when you look back, you will say “If I could go back, I would do everything the same”?

I wish I could say that.

There are many great opportunities that life hands us but oftentimes we reject them because we are scared or too stubborn. From the day we are born, there is a path set out for us. But it’s okay to stray from that path, to gain new experiences, and to gain skills that could end up showing us the truth about ourselves.

If your dreams are of a great career, then you should do whatever you can to achieve those dreams. AIESEC offers to aid you in finding a professional, long-term internship abroad, through our Global Talent Program. Travel to another country, gain professional skills and make it happen!
